As a blogger, I see high street makeup collections come and go, and although it's always nice to see an affordable range, it's not often you see a collection that just has everything. Its hard to describe exactly what makes a collection so appealing, just the right combination of beautiful packaging, pretty shades, products that work and a winning price point.
I always feel like high street makeup has to compromise somewhere, usually in the packaging and sometimes in the formulation, but I understand why, and I think the British high street in particular has some real gems to be proud of, but some ranges just make you ooh and ahh. The last time I felt so impressed by the look and feel of a range was when Topshop Makeup launched, and now here I am feeling excited over the cosmetic offerings of Look Magazine.
I don't feel like I need to really give it any introduction, if you live in the UK you will no doubt have read a copy or six of the magazine, and I think the pretty pictures speak for themselves. I'm still playing with the products but wanted to give you guys a glimpse at the range, this will no doubt be popping up on my youtube channel in no time.
Look Beauty is currently available in Superdrug Westfield Stratford and will be rolled out to bigger Superdrug stores nationwide starting from next week. My top picks upon first impressions are Babydoll Lipstick, Stretch Factor Mascara, Mink Nail Pop, Flirt Blusher and Buff Lip Slick. Will you be picking anything up?

I NEED that red-hued blush!! Excellent blog post. I really hope this range comes to a Superdrug near me, as my local one doesn't even sell Sleek :(
You don't mention prices... which is a huge factor. MUA are doing a grand job, for their prices. So competition will be high. I'd have to ask myself what does this offer that something else already on the market doesn't to make me buy. I'm a realist and to survive in a current market that has alot of competition at low prices with quality.. these need to be special.

I got the double hit lip and one eye shadow in the Look Show goody bag when I went and I just think the quality is fab! Shame Leicester is really slow, this company will probably hit the shops in about 3 months here! (Snails I tell ya) Hahaa! xxx
Is 'high street' another way to say 'drugstore'? It's an expression we don't have here in Australia! I'm loving the pattern on the oomph lashes cap. Such pretty packaging!
