nude facial scrub

Nude are a brand that have always been on my radar, but that for some reason I had never tried. I came very close to purchasing their cleansing oil in Selfridges London beauty hall but was sweet talked by the Eve Lom sales assistant (how things could have been different, I wasn't a fan of that cleanser!) and came away with that instead. We have spoken before in videos and on here about how I like to mix things up when it comes to cleansers, but something I didn't feel I had a perfect product for was exfoliating. Now I'm in my mid twenties (although I am quite aware I'm not old) I have noticed my skin change and start to lean towards a more dehydrated, dry skin type. Personally I like to stay well exfoliated because as we all know, makeup doesn't sit nicely on dry skin, and the fine lines dehydration causes are all the more visible when you put a bit of powder on. I use my Clarisonic (video review here) every day to cleanse my face using the sensitive brush head, and although this gently exfoliates my skin I also like to use a product every now and then to really go to town. Everybody loves a good scrub.

In the past I have used cheaper exfoliators like St Ives, but as I'm getting older I'm more and more aware that I can't slap anything on my face and get away with it, and the annoying hormonal breakouts I get sometimes can be easily aggravated by more harsh exfoliants. I have tried using AHA based exfoliators but sometimes you just need the satisfying feeling of exfoliating with a scrub. Am I alone here? I'm starting to feel a little insane talking about my scrubbing obsession...

Enter the Nude facial scrub - this baby isn't the cheapest on the market at £28 but it certainly won't break the bank either, and the amount I need to do the job is tiny, meaning despite using this twice a week (minimum) for the last few weeks has hardly made a dent in the product. The exfoliation comes courtesy of rose quartz crystals, oats, and coconut and palm kernels and is paraben, mineral oil, sulphate and silicone free for those of you trying to avoid them. There is also rosewater which helps to calm and soothe the skin. Personally, I love this, its creamy and gentle but doesn't just tickle, it really gets the job done and my skin feels smooth, leading to better makeup application and better absorption of my skincare products. The packaging is nice, and a refreshing alternative to traditional tubes of exfoliator. Of all the products I've tried from Nude, this is the one I'm most impressed with. If you have the chance to try one thing, I'd recommend this.

The Nude Facial Scrub is £28 here.

Have you tried any Nude products? What is your favourite exfoliator?

It looks amazing. The price tag is a little scary though. But hey if it works!

i definitely want to try this! the packaging is instantly one of the things that makes me want to see what it's about.

i have very dry skin, it's literally the baneeeee of my life - so i figure if i pay a decent amount of money towards a product it would help me out and fix me :)

the packaging is beautiful! My favourite is the Soap and Glory 'No Clogs Allowed'. It is really gentle on the skin and I've yet to find a product that leaves me with clearer pores and softer skin for £10.

I learned from a dermatologist that even if you have oily, blemish-prone skin you should start your routine with a gentle, non-soap face wash. I ordered online a up a bottle of Shielo's Compexion Scrub (with Jojoba Microspheres!). As it turns out, I made a good choice because the Shielo Complexion Scrub has worked well for my oily skin.

It has a delicate, fresh scent. I didn't really get much lather during use, but it was enough to clear away all of my makeup without irritating my face or my eyes. The cleanser washed off easily and thoroughly, and my face didn't feel sticky with residue or tight as if it had been stripped. With a freshly clean palette, my nightime treatment goes on smoothly and without irritation. This is a good choice for anyone whose skin needs a gentle--but thorough--cleanser.
