This month’s Joliebox took me by surprise when I collected my mail, mainly because I couldn’t believe it had been a whole month since the last one. I quickly realised that I hadn’t posted about the March box (sorry guys!) so I have put that in here too underneath for those of you that are interested, because it really was a nice box, in my opinion Joliebox are definitely on top form recently.
Let’s look at the April box first. This one is “The Changing of the Seasons”
KMS Freeshape Hot Flex Spray – I’m always up for trying new heat protectants so I was pleased to see this in there. I also like trying hair products in beauty boxes (as we’ve discussed before, skincare and haircare keep me happy, I have enough makeup!)
Tropic Skin Revive - This Brand is owned by one of the ex Apprentice contestants which makes for an unusual twist, and I have enjoyed a body product from them in a previous box. To be honest I much prefer getting facial skincare over body items in a box so this was a nice addition for me.
Bellapierre Mascara – This is the full size item in the box and has great timing for me because I am just finishing a mascara off. I think this is a crowd-pleaser as most of us use mascara and its something we replace often. I also haven’t tried Bellapierre before.
Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm - Quite a small sample for a cleanser but I have enjoyed this brand in the past and since I’m a sucker for a cleansing balm I can’t wait to try this.
Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil - Again, another product that seems handpicked for me, my addiction to oils is still going strong and I am almost out of my NEOM one, this has solidified a little in the post (thanks UK weather!) but I plan on running it under a warm tap and enjoying a nice bath.
Overall this box is just my thing, like I said it almost feels handpicked this month because a lot of the products are the kind I usually go for and I’m in need of a new mascara. I also like the addition of the JolieMag in the last two boxes. It’s nicely put together and just the right size. Normally I throw things like this away but I’ve read and enjoyed both magazines. Nice work Joliebox!
Like I said I completely forgot to feature the last one but here’s a quick overview because it was a good one!
Yardley Royal English Daisy Shower Gel – I am a fan of Yardley and this is so fresh and springlike! Not much more you can say about a shower gel really but this is nice!
Davines Moisturising Balm – I’ve heard a lot about this and am intrigued by the face that you can use it on hair and skin. It smells nice and I haven’t tried the brand before. Also love the packaging!
Eyeko Skinny Liner (purple) – I really liked the baby pink version of this liner I got in my Glossybox so I was happy to see this and was relieved to see a different shade. Plum/purple isn’t a shade I wear much but I’ll give this a go!
LCN Nail Polish – I got the white shimmery shade which is really pretty on the nails. It took forever to dry but lasted well once it did. I actually used this in some nail art. (see here)
Joliebox Mirror - A cute addition like the concealer brush in the first box. Handy for my bag!
All full size products here, which is nice – I know some people may be annoyed that some items have been in other beauty boxes but I think that is something that’s inevitable at some point. From when I did my Glossybox competition I know that these boxes are prepared well in advance so its possible that nothing can be done about it once the boxes know (and it’s also possible that it’s a bit naughty of the brands themselves) but personally as long as I don’t end up with a million of the same product that I hate I don’t mind.
I think Joliebox are doing well, setting themselves apart with the bags and magazine and delivering consistent boxes. Do you like Joliebox?
