Burberry is one of those brands with beautiful, iconic packaging – something you can have in your bag that makes you feel instantly more luxurious when you pull it out. Their latest release is Sheer Summer Glow*, a powder palette that can be used for eyes or face. I don’t need to ramble on too much about the packaging because you can see it for yourself in the photos, but it does feel very luxe and weighty, definitely one for the handbag. The shades are really nice, neutral and nude, just how I like my face and eyes.
The idea with this palette is that paler skintones can use this to warm up their complexion, deeper skintones can use it to even out the skin, and of course each shade can be used individually too, or as eyeshadow. It does have a slight shimmer to it but this dissipates as you apply it and as with most high-end powders, is very finely milled so it could also be used to contour. I used it all over my face and also on the eyes and really liked the colour and consistency of the powder, which can be something difficult to perfect. It also smells amazing!
This retails at a hefty £42, so it is definitely a splurge or a treat, but if you are someone that doesn’t buy a lot of products and you use these tones every day for your face and eyeshadows it wouldn’t work out too badly. It will be available in May from Harrods and House of Fraser.
Have you used Burberry makeup before? The only thing I’ve tried previously is a lipstick from this Glossybox (which I’m also wearing in this photo) so if you have any let me know your recommendations!
