Although eBay is well known as a great place to snag a bargain, I don’t know how many of you use it to update your wardrobe, apart from the odd item here and there – if you’re not, you’re missing out! I’ve got into eBay in a big way recently, not only to buy second hand items but also for new, unique pieces, or to buy from brands that sell on there directly. I love trawling eBay in the evening, armed with a cup of tea, to see what I can find, and my twitter feed is awash daily with really helpful blogger recommendations; maybe not so helpful for my paypal balance. Currently over 100 of the leading high street brands use eBay to sell their clothing, so it’s about way more than people getting rid of their old clothes – it can be a fresh, exciting place to get your fashion fix.
eBay Fashion have released their Spring Summer lookbook which really captures the essence of style available on eBay. It celebrates mixing designer, high street, vintage and one-off pieces to create an individual look and embrace the latest trends. The campaign is fronted by 3 stylish but ‘real’ women, who were all picked to showcasing their personal style– fashion blogger Eleonora Carisi, TV presenter Amal Fashanu and fashion photographer Lara Jade.
For Spring/Summer eBay are loving animal print palazzos coupled with plain tees, candy coloured jeans and denim and lace. They also predict that mini and maxi dresses will be big, especially floral ones. Head of Fashion for eBay in the UK, Carrie Bienkowski recommends layering chunky white knits and black leather jackets over your Spring/Summer wardrobe to account for the British weather, which, lets face it, is temperamental at best!
What do you guys like to get from eBay – were you aware of all the high street shops that you can buy on there? Let me know your best eBay purchase!
