It’s been a little while since I posted about Glossybox (I skipped last month because I was a bit all over the place with the move) and I’m glad to be back on schedule and talking about their brand new September Box, a limited edition affair designed by the talented illustrator Maggie Li (seriously click that link and check out her stuff, so lovely!)
Glossybox is one of those things that can be so hit and miss because everyone has different expectations and tastes, some months I feel a bit so-so about them and other months they knock it out of the ball park. This is one of those months. I love everything about the design of the box, from the colour scheme to the illustrations, and I do love a good collaboration. I would quite possibly have never come across Maggie’s lovely illustrations if it wasn’t for this box and it’s lovely for people who like to keep the boxes for storage. Now, enough about the outside, let’s get into the products:
L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil (Colour Glow) – This is a product I already own (and love – see my review here) so it’s nice to have a backup as I know I’ll use it. The Mythic Oil lineup was recently updated to include this, a rich oil, and a milk (which is also great) and you could get any of these in your Glossybox. Great full size! You also get tester sachets of the shampoo and conditioner from the Mythic Oil line which I can’t wait to try.
Lady Gaga Fame Fragrance - This is a 5ml sample of the new (and first!) fragrance from Lady Gaga. Again, this is another product I already own (more on that to come tomorrow for Gaga fans) so this will be super handy for my handbag.
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream – I love the Balance Me range and their brand as a whole really appeals to me, so this will be nice to try. At 7ml this is a decently sized sample (almost half the full size) so it will give you a good idea of how it works for you. Unlike other skincare samples, eye cream is pretty universal and different skin types should be able to use this.
Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Complex – Another 7ml sample and as I’m getting older (ahem) I’m definitely noticing a few fine lines. I know a lot of younger people will probably sigh when they see an anti-ageing product in the box, but ladies, think of it as a good nourishing night cream.
Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum & 5 Minute Facial – These cult products get great writeups so I’ll be interested to try these sachets, great for a Sunday night treat, especially the 5 minute facial which is a resurfacing clay mask.
So that’s this month’s Glossybox – personally I think it’s a winner, and the pretty outer box is the icing on the cake. Glossybox membership is £10 per month plus P&P and you can subscribe here.
