RECENT FAVOURITES
After being in bed with a dose of flu for a week, I emerged ready to chat about some of my favourite beauty products over the past month or so, but realised we were well and truly in November. But never fear, I’ve grouped everything together and here are my recent favourite products. Enjoy!

Hello Gemma, I would like to know, what do you do for a living? and how do you afford all those products that you use and review? and what do you do with products that dont get all used up because surely you cant use them all, and dont you think its better to stick to one product? like, one toner, one cleanser and maybe a few moistorisers all of the same brand? what is your daily routine, like what cleanser do you use each day and do you use different ones each day? i know for a fact what ever i use doesnt make a difference to the way i look, i know i am ugly and suffered acne as a teen until my early thirties, and i know expensive products wont change the way i look and what i find is important is good healthy food, plenty of water, enough sleep and rest and to live a calm happy life and with some excersise and plenty of fresh hair and a regular haircut, i dont actually think products do that much, yes, they might make hair look more shiney or whatever, but as soon as you stop using it then its back to how it was before, same goes for skin products, the more you use on your skin the more the skin needs, i think people can manage on cheaper products, and using the same brand mostly, and as i said, food, sleep excersise is important and supplements, could you show some more pictures of your new flat, thanks.
Hi Anna-Maria, wow, lots of questions, I will try to answer them as best I can. I do a few different things to earn a living, I get paid by YouTube to make videos and I also make some money from the ads on my blog. I do freelance media and consultancy work for brands outside of YouTube and a bit of property work too. I am fortunate, as a reviewer, to be sent many items to review. I also attend press launches so lots of the items I feature are given to people who work within the beauty industry, just like magazines. I have written about this in detail on my “ethics statement” page if you would like to read more about what I do. Like you, I don’t believe expensive products = the best products. Some cheap products are good and some expensive products are good. I always try to give a balanced opinion and research as much as I can, and I am always honest about a product, no matter how much it costs. Because of my job I am constantly trying out the newest launches, and whilst I have favourite products, I do change my routine a lot for the sake of reviews. I totally agree that you don’t need lots of products, I try things out so that based on my review people can purchase the few they choose to. Unfortunately although I love the body products, nivea and my face don’t get along sadly and of course I agree that living a healthy lifestyle is paramount, which is why I have a health section on here and a separate health channel on YouTube, products are complementary to a healthy lifestyle, they won’t do all the work for you, but I don’t think I have ever led anyone to believe that. I’m working on some home decor videos of my flat, so you will see more then
Also, forgot to add in my reply, please don’t call yourself ugly, I think we are always harder on ourselves than we should be. I’m sure you’re lovely x
I forgot to add, you look nice with or without makeup because i can see that your makeup light and natural and nicely applied, you would look nice even if you used soap and water and some cheap nivea creme. I have subscribed to your utube.
That’s kind, thanks!
thankyou for your long informative reply

Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on numerous websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
We absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be precisely what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on a number of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome web site!
