I’ve been meaning to post about this for a while, but no time seemed more fitting than the start of a brand new year. I’m not one for the forced fun of New Years Eve so rather than painting the town red I rang in 2013 with Matt, Duncan, Cassie, and a cornucopia of Mexican food whilst a Honey Boo Boo marathon played on the new TV. It doesn’t get much better than that, folks. I’m excited for 2013 and I have a new project I’ve been working on with Duncan (psst, here) that I’m excited about. More on that soon!
I first saw these types of memory jar on tumblr and pinterest, and I started my own personal one when we moved to London in August. It was quickly stuffed with plane tickets, press passes and concert tickets along with a healthy amount of corks, movie stubs and wristbands. I call mine the “Jar of Happiness” because for me it’s a physical reminder that my glass is half full. I keep it on display in my room and it promotes more positive thinking and keeps me in check on those “first world problems” days we all have. There’s no time like now to start your own – pack it with all the great things that happen to you in 2013, personally and professionally, and crack that baby open this time next year to reflect on the year and all it brought your way.
But first, let’s tackle 2013 and make it our own. Happy New Year!
