RIMMEL APOCALIPS

Product launches come and go, but every now and then my beauty spidey sense tingles and I know it’s a good one. The high street is full of fabulous lipsticks (17, Rimmel) and has mastered the non sticky gloss (Bourjois) but as of yet liquid lipsticks have been disappointingly dry. I thought we hit the jackpot with the launch of Cream Puff by Collection, and whilst they were nice, the matte formula enhanced any dry patches on my forever chapped lips. Enter Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer. Think liquid lipstick with a hint of a gloss minus the sticky high shine finish. These babies are relatively long wearing but move around enough to let your lips breathe, and have more than a hint of Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro about them. I love the packaging, love the product, love the purse friendly price point and great colour range.

The world didn’t end, but it might be the final curtain for traditional lipsticks if this is a sign of things to come. You can buy these from the 23rd January onwards priced at £5.49. (I’m wearing Big Bang in the photo, and in videos here and here.)

  18. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I came across this during my hunt for something regarding this.
