It’s been a long winter, so when the sun finally started peeking through the clouds to grace us with it’s presence I wanted to make the most of it. Last weekend we went for a sunset picnic (as documented on instagram) but yesterday we decided to ditch the heavy picnic basket and take a “couple” of beers to Wandsworth Common for some rays and reading. Now, beer isn’t complete without olives, in fact, when I lived in Spain it was almost a cardinal sin not to marry the two, so of course we threw some garlic-stuffed olives in the bag and Matt’s cheeky addition, some kettle chips.
I love getting out of the flat when it’s sunny, this is why I need a garden! It’s surprising how much nicer kicking back and reading can be when you’re in an open space with the sun on your face. The book I’m reading – The Spirit Level, is really good too. I know I need to revive my book videos so maybe this will give me the kick up the backside I need to make one! I had so much laundry, work, and email catchup to do yesterday but I’m glad I put them off for some much needed sun, I can tackle them today…
Has it been sunny where you are? What have you been up to?
