In a pretty recent video (this one to be precise) I gave you guys my iced tea recipe and mentioned that since I live in a flat without a proper freezer, ice cubes are often a distant dream as my precious freezer space is taken up with leftovers, frozen fruits and veggies. In that video I mentioned that I like to slice lemons and freeze those instead since they take up much less room and add flavour to your drinks. A lot of you thought that was a nifty tip, and whilst this is a simple idea I thought I would share it since it’s along the same principle.
I am constantly trying to up my water intake, especially since I moved to London. Gone are the days of endless refrigerated space and if water isn’t cold, it’s not exactly on my list of things I want to drink. I picked up this cute jug in Wilkinsons and I’m trying to get into the habit of keeping it in the fridge ready to go so I have no excuse. I like the ‘taste’ of water, if that’s something you can say, but it doesn’t hurt to give it a little oomph sometimes when you are craving a little bit of flavour. Lemon and lime are great options but I also love adding berries, especially frozen ones. If you haven’t had time or space to leave the jug in the fridge they keep your water icy and as they warm up and defrost, they release some of their flavour and turn the water pink. Once you’ve finished your water you can enjoy them!
