Caudalie’s Divine Oil has popped up many times on my YouTube channel as a firm favourite of mine, but until now I don’t think it’s made an appearance on my blog. A multi-purpose beauty oil, it can be used on the face, hair, body and nails and it’s the perfect post-bathtime treat before you get into bed. You know those products that just make you feel special when you use them? This is one of them. My large bottle (£24.30) has lasted me a long time, due in part to the fact that it has a spray applicator so unlike other oils you don’t pour out more than you need. It is also perfect for spritzing on your legs to give them a sheen in the summer months and packed with grape oil and omega 6 it will keep you hydrated.
What I love most about this is the fact that it’s a dry oil, so you never feel too greasy once you’ve used it, but for this very reason I don’t use it on my hair unless it’s a couple of spritzes through my palms to de-fuzz and add definition to my layers, it’s not something I would slick on as a treatment. The scent is really beautiful and very sophisticated, my friend Estée once described it as something a beauty editor would smell like and I have to agree, it makes me feel confident and important, if a body oil can do that! At Christmas I have away a gift set containing the candle, and boy oh boy did it pain me to give that beautiful thing away, it smells so so good. It’s a little pricey at £21.60 but I might have to splurge to make my home smell like this, we are moving soon so I can maybe use that as an excuse?
The other gem in this range is the Divine Scrub, at around the £20 mark again it’s a definite indulgence but if you’re a die hard fan of the oil you will love it. It’s a beautiful scrub, I’ve never found a Caudalie product I didn’t like really, but with expensive scrubs I can’t help but think I could make something similar myself for much less. The oil photographed above is the smaller size, priced at £16 which I would really recommend if you want to try this but don’t want to shell out for the larger option. I definitely think everyone should try this oil, if you take a lovely bath, spritz this onto your body after and get into clean sheets, you will thank me.
